After the completed and notarized application is received via mail in the island courts, there is a required eight-day waiting period. No blood test is
required. But if either party is divorced, a certified true copy of the divorce decree stamped with a seal and generated by the court office in which the divorce took place must be filed with the license
application. Additionally, please indicate whether the marriage will be performed by a Judge in the Court or by a clergy member. An appointment needs to be arranged for weddings performed by the Court.
Court marriage appointments can be made on St. Thomas, Monday through Friday, and on St. Croix, Monday through Thursday, excluding USVI holidays.The marriage application fee is $25 (U.S. dollars)
and the marriage license fee is $25. If you are being married in the Court by a Judge, there is a fee of $200 for the ceremony. Personal checks are not accepted. |
